Congratulations to Embleton View School, where Bill gave compliance advice leading to their successful initial and final registration inspections; David Game College, where Bill gave compliance advice, who were outstanding in all areas at their inspection and Kingswood School, where Bill is the proprietor’s agent, on their third successive ‘Outstanding’ inspection in all areas. Additionally, Kingswood School was selected to be part of the pilot scheme for the new Ofsted inspection framework, in force September 2019.

Congratulations to Kingswood School in Solihull, which had its third ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted inspection in a row in March 2018. The report stated that “Every member of staff at Kingswood school is committed to providing pupils with an exceptionally well-rounded education of the highest quality.†Bill Brown, Chairman of the Education Partnership, is the Proprietor’s agent and his important role was summarised by the report, which noted that “The proprietor knows precisely how well the school is performing, and holds the headteacher to account for this performanceâ€. David Game College in London had an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted
inspection in May 2017, improving its performance from its previous Good
judgement with the support of Bill Brown, Chairman of the Education
Partnership, in his role as education and compliance advisor. The report, which
is available here, reports
that “The proprietor and leaders have created a culture where all members of
staff strive to offer academic excellence in an environment that respects the
beliefs and values of all.†Well done to staff and students from the Education
Partnership team.

Leehurst Swan School in Salisbury had an Excellent outcome from its
ISI inspection following advice from Bill Brown, Chairman of the Education
Partnership. The inspectors commented that “Pupils of all ages make excellent
progress, including children in the EYFS and those with SEND or EAL, and the

We are delighted by this wonderful outcome, which truly refects the hard work
of the staff and pupils of the school.

Our warm congratulations to St. Piran’s School, which was judged compliant in all areas in its recent ISI Regulatory Compliance inspection.
The inspection report particularly commented that the “teaching enables pupils to make good progress, encompasses effective behaviour management and is supported by suitable resources” while “principles and values are actively promoted which facilitate the personal development of pupils as responsible, tolerant, law-abiding citizens”.
Bill Brown, Chairman of The Education Partnership, has for many years worked closely with St. Piran’s School as Education Advisor.

We are delighted that Appleford School has again received an Excellent judgement in all areas in its recent ISI Inspection. The inspectors reported that Appleford “is extremely successful in fulfilling its aim for each pupil to have confidence in their own ability and develop a desire to do well in their learning.”
The report is also glowing in its praise of the school’s pastoral care, noting that its excellence “can be seen in the pupils’ strong social awareness of each other’s individual differences, tolerance of these and a celebration together, of personal or group achievement.”
This is an outstanding achievement for Appleford School, where Bill Brown, Chairman of The Education Partnership, is Compliance Officer and a member of the Advisory Board.

We are delighted that Jake Anders, long time Policy Specialist at The Education Partnership and now as a Researcher specialising in education at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research, has been awarded a PhD by the UCL Institute of Education, University College London. Jake’s thesis on “Socio-economic inequalities in access to Higher Education in England” was passed by examiners without need to make corrections, reflecting the high standard of work and its defence in the viva voce examination.
While completing his doctorate, Jake also undertook a seven-month secondment to the House of Commons Education Committee, which considerably broadened his knowledge of the education policy landscape. He is now continuing to develop his expertise working on both academic and policy research projects related to education, with a particular focus on impact evaluation.

Congratulations to Kings’ School, Winchester on winning the award for ‘Best Practice in Delivering Career Development Services’ at the UK Career Development Awards in Glasgow. Kings’ was described as having developed a unique model for the delivery of Careers Education Information Advice and Guidance that is innovative, inclusive and inspirational.
At a time when many schools have reduced their Careers Education, Kings’ has enhanced its provision and devised an innovative programme of careers activities to ensure all its pupils are fully prepared for the world beyond school. Its programme is delivered as an integral part of its unique Business, Enterprise and Employability (BEE) Initiative. The separate strands of BEE, Careers Education, Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education and independent thinking skills have been brought together in a single programme which is all-inclusive and embedded across the curriculum. It is further enhanced by providing: impartial careers advice, a bespoke Kings’ careers website, real work experience and its own Business and Enterprise Times.
We are delighted for Kings’ School, where Bill Brown, Chairman of The Education Partnership, has been a Governor for over twenty years. This award is testament to their work to go above and beyond in the service of their pupils’ education and futures.

Congratulations to King’s School, Winchester, on extending
its Outstanding status in its Ofsted inspection in May 2014, which is always
challenging through a change of leadership. Bill Brown, Chairman of the
Education Partnership, was a governor at the time of this inspection. The

teachers, students, and parents and carers. Under his clear leadership, this
exceptional school continues to thriveâ€. We wholeheartedly agree with these
words and this excellent inspection outcome.
